Nepal Opens Drinking-Water Project Tenders and Reviews Major Irrigation Works

On 5 November, Nepal’s Department of Water Supply and Sewerage Management published tender documents for the Phulwariya and Maheshpur water-supply projects. Separately, the 1 November economic briefing reported that the Sikta Irrigation Project had invited four tenders worth Rs 540.3 million, with further procurement planned. The values relate to different project procurement activities and should not be treated as one awarded contract. These developments create opportunities for water-treatment suppliers, engineering contractors and infrastructure consultants.
